Melbourne’s most instgrammable spots

When backpacking, do it for the gram… so here’s my most instagrammable spots in Melbourne!

Hosier Lane

The most well-known and well-loved lane in Melbourne, filled with graffiti!

New work appears here daily so your snap for instgram is bound to be unique!

Loop Roof

Small, colourful and bustling with business types after work.

This place is down an alleyway of epic graffiti. The local government are actually paying street artists to decorate walls with green designs in a bid to make the city feel greener!

Pizza Pizza Pizza (and speakeasy!)

Opposite Loop roof, the quirky Pizza Pizza Pizza does a huge slice of pizza (who knew) for around a fiver.

Tip: ignore the pizza guy and walk right through the staff door at the back…

St Kilda

The giant face of Luna Park has long been an iconic snap of this backpacker filled town on Melbourne’s beachfront.

Head to pier for a stunning sunset and look back on the coastline and distant city.

If you’re lucky you might spot a penguin!

Elwood Hill

Just along from St Kilda, and an easy walk if you want some exercise, this spot offers perfect sunset views and city-scape.

It does get busy at dusk!

Brighton Beach Boxes

The famous beach boxes. Head here at dawn if you want a snap without hoards of tourists in the background.

Each box has its own quirky design.

Queen Victoria Market

Take a trip on a Wednesday night to get the full buzz of the night market.

Think heavenly aromas of food, live music and local brews!

Chapel Street / Richmond / Brunswick

The victorian, rough around the edges, buildings and dusty tram lines make for arty shots that just never get old.

For me, this is the iconic Melbourne scene.

There’s also some epic coffee stops in these burbs – check my favourite coffee stops in Melbourne post for inspiration.

Harry Potter themed rooftop bar

Even if you are not a JK Rowling fan this rooftop is something else.

Try a butter beer or Expecto-martini and watch the buildings tiering around you light up as the sun sets.

There’s live music and quirky seating areas.

Sufficiently filled your Insta feed? Then it’s time to soak up the best Melbourne has to offer.
